Clearchem Cyanuric Acid is used in swimming pools to protect chlorine from ultra violet light, reducing chlorine demand and helping maintain sanitiser levels for longer.

It may be added slowly into the skimmer box, added directly into the pool, or mixed in a bucket of water and broadcast evenly across the pool surface. After dosing, run pump for a minimum of 8 hours.

As a guide, add 100 g per 10,000 litres of water to raise cyanurate level by approximately 10 ppm. Dosage rates are only a guide and should be adjusted based on water testing.

Clearchem Cyanuric Acid may take 24–36 hours to dissolve completely. Pool water may appear cloudy for a short period, but it will clear as the chemical disperses.

The cyanurate level should be tested every 6–8 weeks. After heavy rainfall, more frequent testing is recommended to ensure stabiliser levels remain effective.
